Wow it’s scary that the things we have been procrastinating over, avoiding, making a big deal about have now become, in some extreme cases, a matter of life and death, the difference between sanity or losing it, harmony or cabin fever fueled chaos, and it’s taken a global Pandemic for us to see the light. I’m almost too embarrassed to set out what I’m talking about, but I will because I need to be able to say I told you so, and that I created a lasting record of what we all SHOULD have been doing before Covid-19 Armageddon! lest we forget, because we must NEVER ever forget. As lockdown eases we must remember how we cooked at home, ate well, spent time with family, cleared our homes to create peaceful calm environments, sat in gardens, appreciated our balconies, our parks, our open spaces, exercised, went for walks, read that book, looked after our bodies, called that person. And for those who had difficult times we are so sorry and hope you finally cried for help, found the strength to make the move, speak up, get out. We must remember how we acknowledged who we truly rely on in our communities and how the cracks in society presented as gaping socio-economic holes that must now be fixed. This is not exhaustive or particularly positive, it’s just real talk to move, remind and elicit an emotion that will ensure we do not ever forget.
